This small business is run by myself and two bothers.
We inherited the farm from our father, and carry in his footsteps.
While Dad had always harvested and dried his own walnuts (his father
was also a walnut farmer), he didn't originally process them
himself. He belonged to a co-op,no longer in business, but thought
that he would try his hand at processing and marketing his own
walnuts. So with the help of a partner, who is also now deceased,
began Tulare Nut Company in 1976. Soon farmers were selling their
walnuts to Dad's little company. About half of the nuts processed
today are still from our own trees.
